The beauties of Capri with our boat tour

Marina Grande of Capri

Marina Grande is the main port of the island of Capri and it where tourists disembark daily in search of the beauties of Capri.
Characteristic of this area are the colourful cottages of the fishermen who have preserved the typical appearance of the fishing village. The popular beaches of Capri are Le Ondine, Lo Smeraldo and the free beach of Marina Grande. From the Marina you can easily reach the famous Piazzetta and the shopping streets of Capri.

Blue Grotto

A fairly large sea cave which can be accessed by boat through a small opening, one meter high which only allows visitors to enter lying on the bottom of a small boat which is towed inside by a walled chain at the entrance. Once inside you will be witness to the spectacular blue coloured water, the result of a complex phenomenon of light refraction. From a submerged entrance, larger than the one currently accessed, the sun's rays are reflected to create this luminous spectacle.

La Piazzetta

To reach the famous Piazzetta of Capri, also known as the "living room of the world", from the port of Marina Grande you can take the funicular (running every 15 minutes from April) or the bus. Arriving in "chiazza" the name in dialect that the people of Capri call the Piazzetta, it is impossible not to sit outdoors at one of the bars enjoying a good coffee and breathing in some of its worldly atmosphere.  The symbol of the Piazzetta is the famous Clock Tower, the bell tower of the Church of Saint Stephen, the main church of Capri.

The Faraglioni

The Faraglioni of Capri are three rocky peaks, emerging from the sea, and located southeast of the island. Famous all over the world, they are the true symbol of the blue island and can be admired in all their beauty from the Gardens of Augustus. The first (joined to the mainland) is the Faraglione di Terra (the earth’s faraglione); the second, separated from the first by the sea, is the Faraglione di Mezzo (the middle faraglione); while the third, stretching out towards the sea, is the Faraglione di Fuori (the outside faraglione). The latter is well-known as it is the only habitat of the famous blue lizard.

The Lighthouse of Punta Carena

The lighthouse has been active since 1867 and is one of the largest lighthouses in Italy after that of Genoa.
It consists of an octagonal masonry tower with lantern and gallery, placed above a two-storey building for the lighthouse keeper. The lighthouse was recently repainted and is now white with red vertical stripes and the caretaker's house is red.

The Grotta Meravigliosa and the White Grotto

The Grotta Meravigliosa is one of the largest caves in Capri and is located right above the equally famous cave, the White Grotto (among over 70 natural cave found on the island). Not being at sea level, access to the Grotta Meravigliosa is only possible by a stone staircase. Once you reach the end of the staircase, you will admire the colors that the stalactites and stalagmites, with the reflection of the sun, produce inside the cave and you will understand the reason for its name. The White Grotto, on the other hand, is at sea level and can be accessed directly; here you can admire the white limestone vaults from whose colour the cave takes its name.
